Job Summary
We are seeking an Inventory Officer to oversee and monitor the inflow management and records of stock on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare purchase orders
- Receive store and issue inventories
- Manage stock levels and distribute supplies from stock
- Work with the team to prepare and maintain inventory/stock records
- Carry out quality and quantity checks on inventory received
- Notify team of new inventory received
- Manage surplus or obsolete stock using FIFO and LIFO procedures
- Check that supply invoices and purchase orders tally in price and quantity
- Prepare reports on damaged spoilt or adjusted inventories
- Place orders to replenish stock while avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
- Source suppliers and obtain quotes
- Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
- Maintain records of receipts and issuance of items from the storeroom
- Reconcile physical stock with inventory records or system logs
- Ensure proper arrangement of stock for easy retrieval
- Responsible for the overall maintenance of the storerooms
- Ensure compliance with PH and safety regulations and guidelines
- Supervise offloading and arrangement of merchandise and materials
- Report stock levels and related issues to the F&B Officer
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- ./HND in Accounting Economics Statistics or other relevant qualification
- At least 2-3 years experience as an Inventory Officer
- Knowledge of inventory management and storage methods
- Sound knowledge of inventory management software (ERP) and inventory tracking tools
- Ability to track inventory and generate reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time efficiently
- High level of professionalism
- Good initiative time and stress management skills
- Good interpersonal communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Good problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Passion for data creating efficiencies and understanding processes end-to-end
