Job Summary
Investment decisions partnerships and public positioning all depend on having the right information at the right time. As the Internal Researcher you will turn complex market developments sector intelligence and stakeholder information into clear actionable insights that support investment decisions and strengthen our voice in African investment.

Your responsibilities
- You will monitor developments across energy real estate agriculture infrastructure technology and hospitality identifying the developments most relevant to our investment interests.
- You will prepare a weekly sector digest that goes beyond sharing articles providing clear context and the so what behind each development.
- You will conduct research for potential investments partnerships and market entries covering market sizing competitive landscapes regulatory environments comparable deals and key players.
- You will turn research findings into structured one-pagers and concise memos that can be reviewed ahead of meetings and decisions.
- You will prepare stakeholder intelligence briefs ahead of meetings with government officials potential partners investors and advisors.
- You will research stakeholders backgrounds track records interests public statements and areas of potential alignment or leverage.
- You will track competitors and other major players across relevant sectors including major development finance institutions investment activity closed deals and regulatory developments.
- You will produce monthly competitive and market landscape updates organized by sector.
- You will support LinkedIn content development by researching topics identifying supporting data and examples and developing the factual backbone for monthly content.
- You will prepare briefing decks for conferences media interviews and panels including key talking points relevant data anticipated questions and areas to take or avoid.
- You will work closely with the content team owning the research and substance while supporting the team responsible for voice positioning and final polish.
To be considered you should have
- A bachelors degree in Business Economics Finance International Relations Research or a related field.
- Experience in research investment strategy consulting business intelligence journalism or a related analytical role.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources and identify what is genuinely relevant.
- Strong understanding of African business and investment markets particularly the ability to follow developments across multiple sectors.
- Experience conducting market research competitive analysis stakeholder research or investment-related research.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to turn complex information into clear and concise briefs and memos.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect market developments to potential opportunities risks and implications.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate well-supported research under deadlines.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple research priorities and consistently deliver decision-ready information.
