Job Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect and qualify lending institutions microfinance banks fintech lenders cooperatives asset / mortgage financiers and banks that originate consumer or SME credit.
- Engage lending credit risk and partnerships contacts to understand loan products book characteristics and cover requirements.
- Support preparation of Credit Life proposals (decreasing-term or level cover for death disability and where applicable retrenchment) that compete on rate claims and integration.
- Facilitate partner onboarding scheme documentation enrollment mechanics and with IT basic integration into the partners loan journey.
- Manage a portfolio of lending partners; monitor premium flow reconciliations and persistency.
- Support fast accurate claims settlement aligned to outstanding loan balances; act as the partners advocate internally.
- Maintain accurate partner records production reporting and pipeline management.
- Track competitor rates embedded-insurance trends and regulatory developments.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- New lending partners onboarded against target.
- Credit Life premium (GWP) generated through partners versus target.
- Active-partner production and premium-per-partner growth.
- Attachment / penetration rate of cover across partners eligible loan books.
- Premium Collections reconciliation timeliness and accuracy.
- Claims-turnaround facilitation against agreed SLAs.
- Prospecting activity and partner-conversion rate.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS & INTERFACES
Internal
- Credit Life Business Acquisition Manager and Head Corporate (guidance and deal support).
- Credit Life Underwriting and Actuarial (rates and terms for book profiles).
- IT / Integration and Operations (onboarding and enrollment).
- Claims and Finance / Reconciliations and Compliance.
External
- Lending credit risk partnerships and bancassurance contacts at partner institutions.
- Brokers and intermediaries.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- First degree or equivalent from a recognised Institution
- Relevant professional certification (e.g. CIIN) an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years sales / business development experience.
- Insurance bancassurance embedded-finance or lending-sector experience will be an advantage.
- Understanding of consumer / SME lending and Nigerias financial-services sector.
- First degree or equivalent; relevant professional certification (e.g. CIIN) an advantage.
- Confident self-motivated and able to open doors with little or no supervision.
- Consultative selling into lending and risk stakeholders.
- Numerate; comfortable with loan-book data and reconciliations.
- Digitally fluent; able to coordinate simple integrations; proficient in MS Office and AI tools.
- Strong communication and organisation with partnership discipline.
