About the role
You will draft grant applications and funding submissions under the direction of the Grant Writing & Proposals Lead. You will research funders write first drafts refine based on feedback and contribute to a steady pipeline of submissions across the contract period.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to develop a career in grant writing within a structured mentored environment working on real submissions with real outcomes.
What youll do
- Research grant opportunities across UK EU African and global funders
- Draft grant applications under guidance from the Grant Writing & Proposals Lead
- Refine drafts through review cycles
- Maintain accurate records of submissions deadlines and outcomes in ClickUp
- Contribute to a target of 3 grant submissions per month across the team

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a short writing exercise (60 minutes) before final interview.
- 1 years of writing experience grant writing journalism marketing copywriting or academic writing all count
- Excellent written English with a sample of work to share
- Strong research skills and attention to detail
- Coachable and feedback-receptive; this role involves significant editing and iteration
- Self-directed and deadline-driven
- Paid contract experience in grant writing
- Direct mentorship from a senior Grant Writing & Proposals Lead
- Career Bridge Grant Writing Associate credential on completion
- Portfolio of submissions you can reference in future applications
