Job Summary
In partnership with our client we are seeking a Facility/Utility Manager to lead facility and operational functions in Lagos. This role suits someone who is strategic hands-on and comfortable overseeing the physical and technical backbone of an organisation. Your Responsibilities:
- You will oversee the day-to-day management of facility operations ensuring the environment is safe functional and well-maintained.
- You will manage IT infrastructure and systems ensuring smooth and reliable operations across the board.
- You will coordinate maintenance schedules repairs and vendor relationships to keep facilities running without disruption.
- You will ensure compliance with health safety and clinical facility standards where applicable.
- You will manage utility supply and consumption identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- You will respond promptly to facility or IT issues minimizing downtime and disruption to operations.
- You will maintain accurate records of facility assets maintenance activities and vendor contracts.
- You will work closely with other departments to anticipate and meet their facility and IT needs.
What Success looks like:
- Facilities and IT systems run with minimal downtime and disruption.
- Maintenance issues are identified and resolved proactively not reactively.
- Full compliance with health safety and clinical facility standards with zero major incidents.
- Vendor relationships are well-managed delivering value and reliability.
- A safe functional and efficient work environment is consistently maintained.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A minimum of 4-5 years post-graduation experience in IT and/or Facility operations.
- Experience within the medical or clinical industry is highly preferable.
- Strong knowledge of facility management practices and IT systems support.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
