Job Summary


We are seeking a Facility Officer to support the maintenance and upkeep of the organisations buildings and infrastructure ensuring a safe healthy and efficient working environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate all installations (plumbing HVAC electricity etc.) and refurbishments
  • Manage the organizations facilities and equipment
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Supervise all facilities staff external contractors and ensure they meet/exceed work expectations
  • Manage staff accommodation and organizations fleet
  • Control activities like parking space allocation waste disposal building security etc.
  • Ensure facility insurance coverage is up to date for all assets
  • Plan for the future by forecasting the facilitys upcoming needs and requirements
  • Perform facility analysis and forecasting
  • Develop worksheet for predicting maintenance
  • Create weekly monthly quarterly and annual maintenance reports
  • Work with the Operations and Facility Manager to ensure compliance of all statutory requirements by the Federal Government
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned



Requirements

  • Facility Management Engineering Business Administration or relevant field
  • At least 2 years experience as a Facility Officer
  • Professional HSE certification is an advantage
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of basic accounting risk management finance principles and familiar with cost-comparative analysis
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for security public health and safety
  • Good reporting skills excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical/critical thinking skills and strong negotiation skills
  • Good problem-solving skills high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask prioritise and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to carry out basic First Aid treatment
  • Must demonstrate confidentiality and sound judgement must be proactive honest and have integrity
  • Ability to work with team members to achieve goals
  • Must be willing to work long hours be responsive and work under pressure
  • Must have ability to navigate stressful situations
