Job Summary
- Lead and oversee the entire accounting team to ensure operational excellence.
- Conduct regular training and development programs to keep the teams knowledge current.
- Review and ensure accuracy of corporate and personal income tax returns.
- Provide expert advice to businesses and individuals on tax matters.
- Supervise payroll tax processing at both state and federal levels.
- Manage and maintain strong client relationships while attracting new business opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior accountants clerks and bookkeepers.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential compliance issues.
- Ensure compliance with all state federal and international accounting regulations (IFRS IAS).
- Maintain constant communication with regulatory bodies (IRS state agencies) and clients.
- Ensure seamless onboarding and tax consultation for new clients.
- Keep client files organized accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with other internal teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- ICAN ACCA CFA is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years accounting experience.
- Industry Preference: FMCG sector preferably (Retail IT phone and lifestyle appliances sales and distribution)
- Prior experience heading a financial reporting department in a well-established company.
- Strong background in corporate and personal taxation.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and IAS.
- Advanced computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and accounting databases.
- Expertise in financial statements preparation and QuickBooks.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and numerical skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a commitment to excellent client service.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
