Job Summary

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties)

Debt Financing & Capital Structure

  • Lead the sourcing structuring negotiation and execution of debt facilities term loans working capital lines bonds and DFI/development finance funding with local and international lenders.
  • Manage ongoing lender relationships covenant compliance drawdown requests and financial reporting obligations under existing facilities.
  • Evaluate capital structure alternatives and recommend the optimal mix of debt and equity to fund capital expenditure and growth plans.

Equity & Capital Raising

  • Support equity raising and capital-raising processes end-to-end including investor targeting due diligence coordination data room management and term sheet/SPA review alongside legal and advisory teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with investment banks private equity/venture capital investors DFIs and financial advisors on live and prospective fundraising initiatives.
  • Prepare investment memoranda financial models valuation analyses and management presentations for investor and lender engagements.

Financial Strategy Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and maintain the Companys medium- to long-term financial strategy and capital allocation plan in line with business growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models (DCF scenario and sensitivity analysis financing structures) to support funding and investment decisions.
  • Support evaluation of M&A opportunities joint ventures and strategic partnerships from a financial structuring and funding perspective.

Stakeholder Board & Investor Reporting

  • Prepare board papers financing proposals and investor/lender updates on funding status capital structure and financial strategy.
  • Represent the Finance function in engagements with lenders rating agencies investors and other external capital providers.

Treasury Oversight (Strategic)

  • Provide strategic oversight of foreign exchange exposure management ensuring FX sourcing and hedging decisions align with CBN regulations and the Companys risk appetite.
  • Oversee preparation of the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast and guide funding decisions across all the entities.
  • Own the banking relationship strategy facility terms.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the line manager.


ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum) & SKILLS

  • HND/. in Finance Accounting Economics or a related discipline; MBA or MSc in Finance is an added advantage.
  • Professional qualification (ACA ACCA CIMA CPA CFA or equivalent) is strongly required.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years progressive experience in corporate finance and/or treasury with a demonstrable track record of structuring and closing debt facilities and/or leading equity or capital-raising processes.
  • Experience in telecoms infrastructure or another capital-intensive sector is a strong advantage.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills (DCF LBO/financing structures scenario and sensitivity analysis).
  • Demonstrable experience engaging DFIs banks private equity/venture capital investors and advisors on funding transactions.
  • Working knowledge of treasury operations FX management cash/liquidity forecasting bank reconciliation sufficient to provide oversight and review even where day-to-day execution is delegated.
  • Sound judgement in evaluating funding options and prioritizing capital allocation under liquidity constraints with the confidence to defend recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with banks investors and financial institutions.
  • Proven people leadership an excellent team player.
  • High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information funding transactions and investor relationships.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines across financing transactions and month-end/payment cycles with minimal supervision.
