What youll do
CrossBoundary is recruiting an Associate Principal to join the West Africa team. We are seeking candidates with extensive experience living and working in the region and a thorough understanding of the investment landscape. Your primary responsibilities will be:
Provide deal and project leadership across transaction advisory engagements including:
o Identifying screening and evaluating investment opportunities
o Conducting sector or geographic landscape assessments
o Identifying engaging and building relationships with qualified regional and international investors
o Leading complex commercial due diligence and vendor due diligence assignments
o Developing and reviewing financial models investment memoranda teasers and client-facing recommendations
o Providing value-creation recommendations for post investment strategy
o Advising on the structuring and deployment of blended finance vehicles and providing recommendations on optimal transaction structures Support the firm’s business development efforts in the region by:
o Managing relationships with key CrossBoundary clients
o Performing market assessments and identifying key potential clients and partners within regional markets
o Developing strategies for using CrossBoundary services to drive value for these potential clients
o Working closely with CrossBoundary leadership on developing partnerships and pursuing new business opportunities in regional markets
o Originating transactions and projects and growing CrossBoundary's footprint and visibility in West Africa
Contribute to developing the West Africa team by:
o Managing investment professionals with responsibility for hiring capacity building and performance management
o Leading the team to results in challenging and ambiguous circumstances fostering a culture of excellence curiosity and bias for action
