About the Role

CBM Global Nigeria needs an Admin Intern who will provide operational and administrative support to the Country Office administrative team perform a variety of coordination and logistical services in support of the operations of the Country Office and assist with event planning and arrangements for the team. S/he will provide effective and efficient support to the Country Administrative team to ensure the daily smooth running of the Country Office. This includes administrative logistical and information management assistance to Country team as well as supporting overall success in various projects and events. This internship opportunity will foster growth within our dynamic team offering valuable learning experiences to a detail-oriented and organized individual with strong communication skills who shares our commitment to excellence and teamwork.

This will be your team:

The Country Team that you will be joining has 16employees. You will report to the HR & Admin Officerand you will join a team of 2people. Youwill have no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

During your internship you will:

  • Work closely with the HR and Admin Officer to ensure smooth operation of all administrative matters.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing scanning documents into an electronic system and making copies of documents.
  • Support in taking attendance and minutes of regular Country Team meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Organize plan and contribute to coordination of team activities (meetings workshops travel budgets).
  • Act as the contact person for the administrative team during the absence of team members following-up on any emergencies with appropriate team member(s) within the CBM Global Country Team.
  • Assist in receiving of purchased goods and distributing them to each department and staff.
  • Assist in filing of supporting documents/invoices linked to administration.
  • Assist in staff recruitment process and interviews arrangement in cooperation with the HR and Admin Officer and relevant staff members.
  • Provide assistance to HR and Admin Officer to manage monthly utility usages such as Country office beverages stationery etc while ensuring timely re-stocking of supplies.
  • Provide updated reports to the HR and Admin Officer and to CBM Global Country Director as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Country Director HR and Admin Officer and or the SLT

Person Specification:

All of the following requirements are Essential unless marked with a * when they are Desirable.

Experience and knowledge

  • Experience working with partners (organizations of persons with disabilities civil society faith-based government and INGOs etc.) *
  • Working knowledge of computers especially MS Word Excel power point Outlook internet navigation and various office applications



Skills/competencies/personal qualities

  • Capacity to handle multiple responsibilities at the same time.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and develop creative solutions.
  • Self-driven and can relate well to people of various backgrounds and positions.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to work and deliver outputs under pressure.
  • Fluent in English language.
  • Strong confident command of both written and oral English.



Qualifications training and education

  • Applicant must possess an OND or equivalent qualification in any field with minimum of one years experience in an administrative and logistics capacity related to disability and development.

Duration & Commitment

  • Duration:12 months
  • Office-based to maximise learning opportunities with remote or hybrid options available when necessary to ensure accessibility and/or flexibility.
  • This position is based in Abuja Nigeria.
