About the Role

Ventia is seeking a Technical Advisor Transmission Lines to support capability uplift technical excellence and training development across the Transmission Lines Group.

This is a diverse and developmental role that combines technical leadership training support and procedural improvement. Youll work closely with operational teams and trainees supporting Transpower training pathways and EWRB requirements while helping ensure consistent safe and high-quality work practices.

The role also involves reviewing and writing technical procedures contributing to continuous improvement across the business. Youll work across both field and office environments supporting audits compliance and technical engagement.

You are a qualified Line Mechanic with solid field experience ready to take the next step in your career.

  • Motivated to grow into a broader technical and advisory role

What Youll Bring

  • Strong experience in transmission line construction maintenance or operations
  • Experience or interest in working with trainees supporting Transpower training pathways
  • Ability to support or contribute to writing technical procedures
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive solutions-focused approach with a commitment to safety

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and support across transmission line operations
  • Support trainees through Transpower and EWRB training pathways
  • Work with teams and training providers to build capability
  • Assist with developing and improving technical procedures
  • Participate in audits compliance checks and field engagement
  • Promote a strong HSE culture aligned with Ventias standards
