Were looking for two third year (or above) students to join our Powerco Gas team this summer and get involved in some genuinely valuable mahi the kind that keeps our gas network safe reliable and running well for our customers and communities.

Youll have the chance to gain experience across two key areas of our gas business: Operations and Asset Strategy. Whether youre contributing to major resilience projects or helping improve how we maintain our assets youll be involved and making your mark on how we operate and how we support the communities we serve.

About you

• Studying Engineering (Mechanical Process Civil or similar) Information Systems Business Analytics Data Analytics or a related discipline. Ideally in your 3rd year or above.
• Interested in how data technology and business processes can improve operational performance and decision making.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work with data to identify insights and opportunities.
• Strong communicator who enjoys working with others to get things done.
• Curious thinker who enjoys challenging the status quo and finding smarter ways of working.
• Bonus: An interest in the future of energy and infrastructure in Aotearoa and how you can add value.
