Project Engineer Mechanical

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Engineer Mechanical to join our team in Wellington supporting the successful delivery of a complex infrastructure project.

In this role you will coordinate and oversee the installation integration testing and commissioning of critical mechanical systems including thermal drying equipment conveyors pumps pipework and associated process plant.

You will play a key role in ensuring all mechanical works are delivered safely efficiently and in line with project specifications while managing interfaces across civil structural and electrical disciplines to achieve seamless project execution.

What We Are Looking For

Were looking for a motivated and capable mechanical engineer who thrives in a site-based delivery environment and enjoys working across multidisciplinary teams.

You will bring:

• A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 37 years experience in mechanical construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience in installation of mechanical plant such as pumps piping or process systems
• Strong understanding of commissioning and testing processes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• A strong commitment to safety quality and compliance

Highly regarded:

• Experience in water wastewater or process plant projects
• Exposure to multi-disciplinary coordination across mechanical civil and electrical systems
• Experience with procurement subcontractor management and OEM/vendor coordination
• Involvement in commissioning and start-up of process systems
