The Project

The New Dunedin Hospital project is the single largest hospital project ever undertaken in New Zealand. Spanning 71700m2 and constructed on the former Cadbury Chocolate Factory in the centre of the city the Inpatient Building will provide high-quality acute medical facilities in support of its role as a tertiary teaching hospital. Onsite services will include 424 beds including future expansion of 53 beds. A total of 24 theatres including a future capacity of 2 theatres imaging suites and radiology.

Your Opportunity

A unique opportunity exists for a Tier 1 Project Engineerto develop their skills and progress their career on a landmark Healthcare Project. As a Project Engineer(Civil/Structures) youll be responsible for developing robust methodologies maintaining quality controls and safely delivering the inground services site roadworks superstructure of the New Dunedin Hospital Project. The role is suitable for an engineer with major project experience in civil or structural work where you can leverage your experience into the complexities this landmark project.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

• A bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised tertiary institution

Experience Skills and Behavioural Competencies required for this position:

Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience in project valued >$150M

Manage self and others to deliver work to between $1M and $10M

Applying engineering principles to comply with scope of works and technical criteria (SWTC)

Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning up to 4 weeks ahead and weekly reporting against cost and time

Demonstrated experience in structural steel insitu concrete and precast installation building experience preferable

Development of SHEQ process and procedures and management of others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures
