Job Summary
Role: PHP Backend Developer
Summary: PHP-focused backend role on a high-traffic platform with an active pipeline of work. Immediate focus is maintaining and improving the existing codebasebug fixes performance and reliabilitywhile steadily delivering against a backlog of planned enhancements and features. New project work will increase over time.
What theyll do: Develop and maintain PHP applications optimise MySQL queries and debug production issues. Work within our stack (Nginx Linux AWS) to improve performance and stability support deployments and contribute to monitoring and documentation. Pick up and deliver tasks from an existing pipeline and progressively contribute to new features and projects.
Requirements: 3 years PHP experience strong SQL good understanding of web systems and comfortable working on live environments. Some Linux and AWS exposure preferred.
Required Skills:
This is a leading role with a wide range of responsibilities including maintaining BAU managing security peer reviews release management web application security and contributing to the design and architecture of new solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux Admin Docker AWS CI/CD configuration management CDN security risk assessment vulnerability searching pen testing patching backups disaster recovery/BCP and documentation. Experience in QA automation and PHP development is a is an on-call aspect to this position. Benefits 180k
