About the Role

We have multiple permanent and fixed term positions available (please indicate in your cover letter what you are seeking). This will be based in our general x-ray team who work between Christchurch and Burwood Hospitals covering all aspects of our busy 24/7 x-ray service including ED outpatients fluoroscopy NICU and theatre imaging. All roles will include day evening night and weekend shifts.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering quality patient-centred radiographic services which are efficient and effective for the needs of the patients and the service
  • Effective documentation of procedures (where appropriate)
  • The support and facilitation of quality indicators/programmes
  • Supervision and clinical training of Medical Imaging Students where appropriate

About You

Thesuccessful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Solid experience of general imaging preferably in a larger centre but this is not essential
  • A genuine passion for radiography. You will demonstrate this when teaching the Ara students who we host for clinical placements
  • A strong work ethic and a dedication to teamwork
  • A strong commitment to both patient care and producing high quality imaging across ED inpatients outpatients fluoroscopy and theatre
  • Experience of dealing with patients from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Registration with the MRTB and a valid practicing certificate

You will be required to participate in a 24/7 rostered service
