Job Summary
The opportunity
Were looking for an experienced Leading Hand Construction to join the Seaview Thermal Dryer Project in Lower Hutt.
This is a hands-on leadership role where youll coordinate crews and subcontractors across a diverse range of civil structural mechanical piping and construction activities. Youll be the link between site supervision and the workforce helping ensure work is delivered safely efficiently and right first time.

What youll do
- Lead daily site activities and coordinate construction crews
- Manage subcontractors and ensure safe productive work fronts
- Allocate tasks monitor progress and maintain quality standards
- Review plans drawings and work packs to support efficient delivery
- Coordinate materials plant and equipment to keep works moving
- Drive a strong Zero Harm culture through toolbox talks and safety leadership
- Identify and resolve site issues before they impact delivery
- Work closely with supervisors engineers and project teams to achieve key milestones

What were looking for
- 7 years experience in industrial water infrastructure or heavy construction projects
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand Foreman or Supervisor
- Strong experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Sound knowledge of construction sequencing permits lifting operations and quality requirements
- Proven leadership communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to Zero Harm and safe work practices
