Were looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager who is passionate about food people and creating a welcoming dining experience for our residents and wider village community.


About the Role

This is a practical all-round leadership role where youll be right in the actioncooking leading and shaping the daily kitchen experience.

You will:

  • Lead the day-to-day kitchen and café operations
  • Cook and prepare fresh nutritious meals daily
  • Develop seasonal menus and daily specials
  • Manage stock control costs and minimise waste
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Support and guide a small team to deliver consistent high-quality service
  • Create a warm positive environment for residents whānau and visitors

What Were Looking For

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who bring passion respect and a willingness to contribute.

Youll ideally have:

  • Experience managing or leading in a kitchen environment
  • A recognised cookery qualification (Level 4 or above preferred)
  • Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Confidence working hands-on in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
  • An understanding of diverse dietary needs
  • A commitment to cultural respect and working in a diverse community
