About this opportunity:

We have a great opportunity for an experienced EHS Officer to join our team based in Auckland to provide support to our NZ business on a part-time basis (3 days a week).

This role will give you exposure to many areas of our Global business allowing you to build on your current skills and creating an exciting career path.

How you will do it:

  • Develop implement and maintain JCI Integrated Business Management Systems (EHSQ).

  • Ensure adherence to systems during regular audits.

  • Conduct and coordinate onsite audits and inspections.

  • Support monthly EHSQ statistical reporting with the Pacific EHSQ team.

  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and recommend continuous improvement activities.

  • Implement and manage performance against quality procedures and through quality audits.

  • Provide training for QA and EHS compliance.

  • Assist in incident investigations and corrective/preventative actions.

  • Ensure site compliance with legal requirements.

  • Complete risk assessments and safe work method statements.

  • Manage H&S Committee and provide feedback to management and workers.

  • Offer H&S advice regarding health safety welfare environmental and quality issues.

  • Handle Return to Work Coordinator duties and claims processing.

  • Strive for best practices and influence stakeholders for quality outcomes.

  • Drive culture change to fulfill the companys vision for Zero Harm.

About you:

  • Degree Certificate in Quality Assurance preferred.

  • Minimum Certificate 4 in Workplace Health and Safety.

  • ISO 9001 ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Lead Auditor

  • 3-5 years of heavy manufacturing experienced.

  • Incident investigation qualification preferred.

  • Computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
