The Opportunity:
We have an opportunity for an Intermediate Project Manager to join our growing Dunedin team supporting the delivery of a range of Buildings and Infrastructure projects across design procurement contract management and delivery. This role suits someone who has built a solid foundation in project delivery and is ready to take on greater ownership working closely with senior project managers and clients to keep projects moving and outcomes on track.
Youll manage day-to-day delivery on smaller projects and work packages independently while contributing to larger projects under the guidance of senior team members. Its a great next step for someone looking to build their consulting skills and grow toward more senior delivery roles.
What Youll Focus On:
Managing the day-to-day delivery of projects and work packages to meet client needs scope budget and programme
Supporting the development of Project Management Plans aligned with clients needs and objectives
Assisting with the identification management and mitigation of project risks and issues
Supporting procurement processes and contract administration including exposure to NZS3910 and/or NZS3916 contracts
Coordinating with clients consultants and contractors to keep projects on track
Preparing project reporting tracking budgets and monitoring performance against programme
Building strong working relationships with clients and project teams
Working closely with senior project managers taking on increasing ownership as experience grows
What Sets You Up For Success:
Circa 35 years project management experience in New Zealand ideally within a client-side or consultancy environment
Relevant tertiary industry qualifications
Experience working on building-related and/or infrastructure projects
Growing experience across design procurement and contract management phases
Demonstrated ability to manage projects within clearly defined scopes to achievable schedules and budgets
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to adapt style to suit different audiences
A practical solutions-focused mindset and the ability to identify risks and issues early
A genuine appetite to learn take feedback on board and continue developing your career
Enjoys working with people and building relationships through project teams and clients
