The Role Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

Hours: This is a full-time position. You will beworking Monday to Friday 8:30am5:00pm.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will assess and manage complexneeds of tāngata whai ora contribute to case reviews and offer clinical inputacross the region. Many people we walk alongside experience co-existingphysical health concerns and this role ensures their total wellbeing issupported.

You will provide expert nursing leadership and deliverculturally safe evidence-based care. You will work collaboratively withclinical teams GPs Team Coaches and kaimahi. Youll also guide and mentorkaimahi to strengthen clinical capability and outcomes.

You will report to a Team coach responsible for theoperational management of a mobile service; working alongside a registerednurse occupational Therapist and support workers.

Responsibilities include:
Provide clinical input and liaison to ensure optimal care for tāngata whai ora across our services.
Advanced health assessment and clinical decision-making for tangata whai ora and taiohi with complex or co-existing needs.
Clinical leadership through direct and indirect engagement with tāngata whai ora taiohi and the wider team.
Evaluating and adapting care plans ensuring timely referrals where needed.
Applying trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches in all interactions.
Ensuring all interactions are respectful culturally appropriate and sensitive to individual needs.

About You Mōu

• Current NZ Registered Nurse with physical and mental health and addictions experience
• Clinical Nurse Specialist expected to have Master of Nursing or working towards this.
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate
• Extensive proven clinical experience in Mental Health and Addictions
• Experience in Forensic Nursing would be a bonus
• Ability to provide evidence-based expertise within a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice
