Mechanical Tools Calibration Technician

Job Description

The Mechanical Tools Calibration Technician is responsible for performing accurate calibration inspection and maintenance of mechanical measuring instruments with a primary focus on torque wrenches calipers and micrometers. The role ensures compliance with quality standards (such as ISO 9000and ISO 17025) and contributes to reliable and consistent measurement results.

Responsibilities:

• Perform calibration of mechanical measuring equipment
• Prepare calibration certificates in accordance with applicable standards and procedures
• Identify troubleshoot and resolve technical deviations or issues
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments when required
• Follow established procedures work instructions and quality standards (e.g. ISO 17025)
• Accurately record measurement data in relevant systems
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean / Kaizen) within the laboratory

Experience:

• Proven experience in the calibration of mechanical measuring instruments
• Hands-on experience with torque wrenches and dimensional measurement is highly preferred
• Strong technical insight and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of or affinity with light electronics (preferred)
• High level of accuracy and structured working approach
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
