Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School (more commonly known as Monty Tech), founded in 1965 and is located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Monty Tech is a four-year vocational-technical high school with 21 vocational programs and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District has eighteen (18) sending communities, including: Ashburnham, Ashby, Athol, Barre, Fitchburg, Gardner, Harvard, Holden, Hubbardston, Lunenburg, Petersham, Phillpston, Princeton, Royalston, Sterling, Templeton, Westminster, and Winchendon. Monty Tech has become an active presence in many of the district’s communities, often building homes for low-income families and completing municipal projects and building repairs. Monty Tech is proud to have earned a reputation for cutting-edge technological education, and rigorous academic achievement. In fact, recent academic achievements reported on the state standardized tests document a commitment on behalf of the Monty Tech faculty and staff to provide every student with an opportunity to achieve both in the classroom as well as in the world of work.
