Job Summary
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach culinary arts skills and knowledge full-time to students in grades pupils in citizenship communication skills and other elements of the competency-based course of study common to all teachers as specified in state law administrative regulations and procedures of the school lesson plans maintain a plan book and organize class time so that preparation instruction shop work and clean-up activities can be accomplished within the allotted occupational materials equipment tools and processes using standard or teacher-prepared models mock-ups sketches and other instructional aids in accordance with DESE frameworks for culinary pupils in the appropriate safety precautions and the safe operation of tools machinery and and monitor student progress through the use of progress reports report cards and student competency lists. Communicate with employers parents and school counselors on individual pupil special education individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings where the teachers presence is required and properly submit associated educational supervision and extra help to students as meetings as required by the teacher other duties assigned by the Superintendent-Director. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This position may require long periods of standing on tile floors and lifting up to 50lbs.
