Modesto City Schools

Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation. Modesto City Schools also offers an Induction Program with a state approved curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential. Recognizing that as educators, we are life-long learners, Modesto City Schools offers extensive staff development opportunities to all employees: managers, teachers and classified staff. We also strategically recruit, hire and retain the highest quality employees that reflect the diverse population of our schools and community.
