Senior Drilling Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Drilling Engineer to lead the planning execution and performance optimization of complex drilling projects. This role requires extensive technical expertise leadership capabilities and a proven track record delivering safe and cost-effective drilling operations in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design and execution of drilling campaigns.
• Develop detailed drilling programs operational procedures and technical standards.
• Provide technical leadership for complex wells including offshore deepwater and HPHT projects.
• Review and approve well designs casing programs directional plans and operational risk assessments.
• Optimize drilling performance non-productive time (NPT) and overall well costs.
• Manage drilling budgets AFEs and contractor performance.
• Mentor junior drilling engineers and technical personnel.
• Interface with regulatory authorities partners contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Support procurement tendering and contract evaluations for drilling services.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• 10 years of drilling engineering experience.
• Extensive experience managing complex drilling operations.
• Strong understanding of well planning drilling optimization well integrity and risk management.
• Proven experience managing drilling contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with international operators such as Repsol Shell BP Woodside Equinor TotalEnergies or similar.
• IWCF/IADC Well Control Certification.
• Deepwater offshore Mexico Gulf of Mexico or HPHT experience.
• Master's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
