Job Summary This role is responsible for independently developing solutions for supply chain projects managing complex issues by applying extensive knowledge of supply chain and industry practices and interpreting data to optimize supply chain performance. The role collaborates with peers and senior management to establish supply chain plans monitors industry trends and contributes to competitive supply chain strategies. The role owns strategic supply chain projects from planning to execution contributes to organizational strategies and long-term goals and contributes to resolution of supply chain issues like risk management and continuous growth. SME in Bills of Material (BOM)
Responsibilities
Leads a broad range of complex supply chain processes such as inventory analysis and planning demand planning import/export operations and sales and operations planning typically for a large global business unit.
Independently execute complex demand and supply matching activities connecting planning to execution and identifying issues and their impact.
Primary expertise in all aspects of how our bills of material (and the material metadata beneath them) are constructed in order to best serve our internal and external partners.
This includes engineering planning costing procurement service and support and manufacturing functions.
Development of change methodologies BOM communication triaging and solving BOM related issues.
Developing solutions to complex issues or new needs related to BOM data consumption for various columnar functions
Being in charge of multiple data migrations between PDM systems
Ability to interview SMEs from other columns to understand their needs and wants as it relates to BOM data and be able to integrate that into plans of action and then sell that to other impacted functions.
Leading change while also being able to defend and represent why things may not need to or should have to change
Other areas of expertise:
Engineering document management and storage
Deep understanding of how all of our compute products are designed and manufactured
Deep knowledge of how the Supply chain systems and processes consume and distribute PDM data
Acting as the go to person for any BOM related question or issue relative to BOMs and material master data
Mid-level knowledge of costing and finance systems and processes
Leads cross-functional regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance the current business processes.
Act as a SME for priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations. As well as Future projects that would require a PDM BOM SME representative such as: Next Gen BOM.

Education & Experience Recommended Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management Manufacturing Engineering Operations management Business Administration or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. Typically has 7-10 years of work experience preferably in supply chain operations or a related field.
