We are currently looking for a Sea Operations Executive to join our Puebla office. This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced international environment while delivering outstanding service to customers around the world.
As a Sea Operations Executive you will be responsible for coordinating and managing international ocean freight shipments from origin to final delivery ensuring operational excellence regulatory compliance and an outstanding customer experience.
- Coordinate and manage international ocean import and export shipments.
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining close communication with customers regarding the status of their shipments.
- Maintain frequent communication with overseas offices and international agents to ensure smooth shipment coordination.
- Request and monitor shipment status with shipping lines warehouses and logistics partners.
- Coordinate with customs brokers to support customs clearance processes.
- Review process and manage shipping documentation related to ocean freight operations.
- Update shipment milestones including ETA ETD ATA and ATD within CargoWise.
- Prepare cost estimations and issue customer invoices through CargoWise.
- Process upload and approve supplier invoices using the corresponding internal systems.
- Follow up with suppliers to obtain pending invoices and supporting documentation.
- Perform required ocean freight transmissions through Validacarga.
- Maintain accurate shipment files and operational records.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customers carriers customs brokers suppliers and international partners.
- Identify operational issues and provide timely solutions to ensure service excellence.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Ocean Freight Operations within a Freight Forwarder environment.
- Experience handling ocean import and/or export shipments.
- Knowledge of international logistics and freight forwarding operations.
- Experience coordinating with shipping lines customs brokers warehouses and overseas agents.
- Experience using CargoWise or similar freight forwarding software.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken).
