IT Software Asset Lead

We are seeking an experienced IT Software Asset Lead to manage and optimize FLSmidths global software assets ensuring compliance cost efficiency and strategic alignment with business objectives.

* Develop implement and maintain FLSmidths Software Asset Management (SAM) policies processes and procedures.
* Conduct regular software license reconciliations and audits to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and minimize financial risk.
* Manage the full lifecycle of software assets including procurement deployment utilization tracking and decommissioning.
* Negotiate with software vendors for favorable licensing terms pricing and contracts.
* Identify opportunities for cost optimization through license harvesting consolidation and alternative licensing models.
* Collaborate with IT procurement legal and finance departments to ensure integrated and compliant software asset management.
* Provide expertise and guidance on software licensing models terms and conditions to various stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date software asset inventory records and documentation within SAM tools.
* Prepare and present reports on software license compliance utilization and cost savings to management.
* Stay informed about industry best practices new technologies and regulatory changes in software asset management.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) in a global enterprise environment.
* Proven experience with SAM tools (e.g. Flexera Snow Software ServiceNow ITAM).
* Strong understanding of various software licensing models (e.g. perpetual subscription user-based core-based).
* In-depth knowledge of major software vendors licensing policies (e.g. Microsoft Oracle SAP Adobe).
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
* Relevant certifications (e.g. CSAM CITAM) are highly desirable.
* Experience with ITIL framework and practices.
* Proficiency in English both written and verbal.
