Position Overview
The Supply Chain Specialist will support the Supply Chain Lead in implementing supply chain strategies and ensuring efficient demand planning and procurement processes. The role is also responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain activities including procurement vendor management logistics coordination and contract administration in support of the Companys operations. The role ensures timely cost-effective and compliant delivery of materials and services to meet the companys operational and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all tendering activities including Tenders Committees and Approving Authority (AA) processes in strict compliance with supply chain procedures and policies to uphold integrity and transparency
- Conduct market analysis to identify qualified suppliers and assess industry competitiveness for all tenders requirement as per the procurement planning.
- Manage the full tendering lifecycle: preparation issuance evaluation clarification negotiation and award.
- Ensure fairness transparency and compliance with procurement policies governance and regulatory requirements.
- Manage supplier selection evaluation and performance monitoring to maintain high-quality standards and mitigate risks through rigorous qualification processes and ongoing relationship management.
- Drive and conduct contract negotiation and administration activities to secure commercially favourable terms manage contractual risks and optimise cost savings in line with business objectives.
- Conduct commercial negotiations with suppliers by leveraging market intelligence historical spend data benchmarking and supply market insights to strengthen the companys negotiating position.
- Ensure all contracts amendments renewals and variations are reviewed processed and administered in accordance with company policies supply chain procedures and governance requirements.
- Monitor contract performance obligations and deliverables to ensure suppliers meet agreed commercial operational and service expectations throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Maintain proper contract documentation records and correspondence to support auditability compliance and effective contract management
- Ensure all supply chain activities are conducted in full compliance with company procedures applicable laws and regulations and relevant health safety security and environmental standards.
- Uphold integrity transparency and good governance in procurement and contract management processes to minimise commercial operational legal and reputational risks.
- Conduct supplier due diligence compliance reviews and periodic audits to assess supplier capability performance and adherence to contractual and regulatory obligations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management business administration engineering finance legal or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in supply chain or procurement roles preferably within the oil and gas industry. Familiarity and experience in SAP system and ARIBA will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of oil & gas supply chain processes and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Has experience in understanding pricing structures contract terms and financial risks as well as identifying supply risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
