Job Summary
Company Background:
A high-tech enterprise specializing in the research development manufacturing and sales of miniature electro-acoustic devices intelligent acoustic components smart in-vehicle modules and selected end-user products. The company provides comprehensive electro-acoustic solutions and serves key industries including intelligent automotive systems smartphones smart wearables and smart home technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Source evaluate and onboard suppliers for key electronic components such as semiconductors PCBs batteries and other consumer electronics materials across Southeast Asia.
- Conduct supplier negotiations contract management and regular supplier performance evaluations (QCDS) to establish and maintain long-term strategic partnerships.
- Analyze market pricing trends negotiate cost reductions develop alternative sourcing strategies and ensure timely material delivery while balancing inventory and supply continuity.
- Monitor incoming material quality manage supplier quality issues and coordinate corrective actions including returns replacements and claims for defective materials.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with Malaysian regulatory requirements including SIRIM RoHS and other applicable standards.
- Support new product development by participating in material selection supplier qualification sample validation and maintaining an approved supplier database.
- Prepare procurement reports and supply chain risk assessments to support strategic sourcing decisions.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management Electronic Engineering International Trade Material Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 35 years of procurement or supplier development experience within the consumer electronics or electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components sourcing supplier management procurement processes and supply chain operations.
- Experience sourcing suppliers within Southeast Asia and familiarity with cross-border procurement logistics and import/export regulations is an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM CSCP or equivalent are preferred.
- Excellent negotiation analytical problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Malaysian citizens or Permanent Residents are preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred to effectively communicate with regional suppliers and stakeholders.
