Job Summary
We are Sisco Jobs a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Structural Detailer in Malaysia. Our client is a reputed organization in the Structural Steel Engineering sector seeking skilled motivated professionals. If you meet the requirements below apply early as positions are limited. Based on the uploaded JD the role involves structural detailing fabrication drawings steel modeling coordination with engineers architects and subcontractors and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Review fabrication requirements from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings and shop drawings.
- Generate 2D/3D steel structure models using detailing software.
- Coordinate connection details and structural layouts with engineering teams.
- Review drawings for accuracy completeness and compliance.
- Monitor submittals approvals and fabrication release schedules.
- Liaise with architects engineers and subcontract fabricators.
- Provide technical clarifications and resolve fabrication issues.
- AutoCAD / ProgeCAD drafting and detailing expertise.
- TEKLA Structures modeling and detailing.
- Steel structure shop drawing preparation.
- Engineering drawing interpretation and coordination.
- Fabrication and structural connection detailing knowledge.
- STRUCAD experience.
- Knowledge of welding and surface treatment specifications.
- Project monitoring and quality control exposure.
Experience in structural steel detailing fabrication drawings and engineering coordination is preferred. Candidates should have hands-on exposure to steel structure projects and detailing software. Typical range: 25 years in structural steel detailing.
- Minimum: Diploma / B.E. / in Civil Structural or Mechanical Engineering (Typical)
- Preferred: Structural Engineering specialization
- Additional: TEKLA Certification (Preferred)
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models Piping Isometrics GA drawings and Piping -depth knowledge of Piping BOM MTO and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.
Required Education:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BE) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design stream.
