Position Overview

Our companys Global Business Solutions (GBS) team manages global Source to Settle (StS) processes including purchasing invoicing and payments.

The Specialist Global Payments is responsible for executing and overseeing global payment processes ensuring payments are accurate timely and compliant with policies and controls. This role supports payment validation authorization and release while maintaining strong governance in a controlled environment.

In addition the role supports Treasury activities including cashflow forecasting liquidity management and foreign exchange working closely with global teams to drive standardization and reduce manual processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate payment runs for accuracy and completeness

  • Execute standard and off-cycle payments in line with service levels

  • Support payment authorization and release in line with controls and approvals

  • Ensure compliance with policies SOX controls and audit requirements

  • Monitor urgent and exception payments ensuring timely processing

  • Investigate and resolve payment issues performing root cause analysis

  • Escalate high-risk issues and ensure timely resolution

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent execution

  • Support process improvements standardization and automation

  • Participate in system testing and process enhancements

  • Deliver high-quality service and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

Treasury Support:

  • Support cash positioning and funding coordination across markets

  • Ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs

  • Manage foreign exchange activities and fund transfers

  • Maintain bank authorization records and compliance standards

  • Ensure treasury activities meet policy and regulatory requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in finance Accounting Business or related field (preferred)

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Finance Accounting or Shared Services

  • Strong understanding of payments settlements and treasury processes

  • Experience in controlled or compliance-driven environments

  • Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Experience in process improvement and stakeholder collaboration

  • Fluent in English (Asian language skills a plus)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)

  • SAP and Ariba experience required

  • Familiarity with banking platforms and payment systems preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to change
