We are seeking an experienced SOC Analyst to monitor detect and respond to cybersecurity threats ensuring the protection of critical assets across the organisation.
Responsibilities
Monitor and analyse security alerts logs and events from SIEM IDS/IPS firewalls EDR and other security tools.
Identify and investigate potential threats such as malware phishing unauthorised access and insider risks.
Triage and respond to security incidents assessing their scope severity and impact.
Contain threats by isolating affected systems blocking malicious activity and supporting remediation efforts.
Support digital forensic investigations and identify Indicators of Compromise (IoCs).
Conduct threat-hunting activities using behavioural analysis and threat intelligence.
Escalate critical incidents and collaborate with IT infrastructure and external teams for resolution.
Fine-tune SIEM rules and alerts to enhance detection capabilities and reduce false positives.
Maintain incident records prepare reports and assist with security audits and compliance requirements.
Requirements
Must-have:
Diploma or bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in SOC operations cybersecurity monitoring incident response or a related role.
Knowledge of network endpoint cloud and identity security.
Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk Microsoft Sentinel or QRadar.
Familiarity with IDS/IPS EDR tools Windows Linux and MITRE ATT&CK.
Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell Python or Bash.
Strong analytical communication teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200) certification.
