Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Develop maintain and monitor detailed project schedules for vessel newbuilding repair conversion or refurbishment projects.
- Coordinate with Project Managers Engineering Production Procurement and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Prepare and update work schedules manpower plans and resource allocation based on project requirements.
- Track project progress identify schedule deviations and recommend recovery plans to minimise delays.
- Monitor critical paths project risks and potential bottlenecks ensuring timely escalation where necessary.
- Coordinate material availability equipment readiness and work sequencing to support efficient production.
- Produce regular progress reports schedule updates and performance reports for management and project stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings and provide planning support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate planning documentation and ensure project records are kept up to date.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes productivity and project delivery.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering Naval Architecture Marine Engineering Project Management or a related discipline.
- At least 3- 5 years of planning experience within a shipyard marine offshore or heavy engineering environment.
- Experience supporting vessel newbuilding repair conversion or fabrication projects.
- Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 Microsoft Project or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of shipyard production processes project scheduling and resource planning.
- Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities with the capability to coordinate across multiple departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel.
- Self-driven detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Experience in luxury yacht construction or high-value vessel projects will be an added advantage.
