Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance (QA) plans Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and inspection checklists for fit-out and structural steel works.
- Review construction drawings RFIs method statements and technical documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor the quality of structural steel fabrication and installation including welding bolted connections coating corrosion protection NDT inspections and dimensional tolerances.
- Conduct quality inspections for fit-out works such as partitions ceilings flooring painting and equipment interface installations.
- Manage project quality documentation including drawings revisions inspection reports welding records coating reports NDT reports test results and handover documents.
- Identify quality issues raise NCRs perform root cause analysis and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate closely with consultants clients subcontractors construction teams and document control teams to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project standards.
- Support project completion final inspections client acceptance documentation submission and defect rectification.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering Mechanical Engineering Building Services Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in structural steel fit-out MEP installation or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and installation including welding bolted connections coatings corrosion protection and NDT inspections.
- Familiar with fit-out construction processes quality control procedures and project documentation management.
- Experience with QA systems NCR management CAPA and ISO 9001 or related quality standards is an advantage.
- Excellent communication coordination reporting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia for effective communication with project teams consultants and subcontractors.
Salary Range: RM8000 - RM12000
