Job Summary
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of optical electronic electro-mechanical mechanical and measurement product assembly operations on assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Follow established methods and work instructions to perform wiring component cleaning component installation hand soldering and mechanical fitting of assembly units.
- Perform mechanical and optical alignment activities for laser tuning and optimization.
- Conduct product performance testing including functional leak laser performance and other related verification tests.
- Perform electrical testing troubleshooting and root cause analysis of product and equipment issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment tools and fixtures to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
- Support equipment calibration ESD compliance activities and routine workplace inspections as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance quality efficiency safety and productivity.
- Maintain accurate production testing maintenance and quality records in accordance with company procedures.
- Adhere to all safety quality ESD and 5S requirements while performing assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with Engineering Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience
- Possess at least a Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot automated equipment and interpret electrical schematics mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Possess a strong quality mindset with the ability to detect abnormalities verify work against specifications and ensure tasks are completed accurately and consistently.
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies quality standards and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
- Experience working with microscopes and precision assembly equipment is an added advantage.
- Experience in the assembly testing maintenance or troubleshooting of optical electro-optical or laser-based products is an added advantage.
- Willing and able to work overtime weekends or extended hours as required to support production demands and business needs.
Skills
- Knowledge of ESD control practices and proficient hand soldering skills.
- Hands-on individual with basic Mechanical and Electrical assembly skills and an interest in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics mechanical drawings and work instructions.
- Experience handling cleaning and assembling optical components.
- Demonstrate careful handling of precision parts and assemblies while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and product quality.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with microscopes measuring instruments and precision assembly tools.
