Senior Logistics Officer Inbound Logistics & Custom Liaison

Job Summary
- Monitor and manage inbound logistics operations including resource planning for priority tasks.
- Ensure smooth material/operations flow from inbound until production based on established processes.
- Support supervision of daily activities and ensure tasks are executed as planned.
- Support implementation of BPS / continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs and report deviations with proposed actions.
- Act as first-level escalation point for operational MHE and system issues.
- Person in charge for all custom related topics and improvement activities in custom declaration clearance AEO hand carry shipments bonded warehouse FIZ and other custom related topics.
- Key contact person to liaise with Government agencies such as MITI MBPP SIRIM MOF Custom and so on for certification/license/permit application and other related topics involve Government agencies.
- Support review and update of operational procedures and workflows.
- Support SAP-related topics and ensure correct system usage.
- Conduct on-the-job training and knowledge sharing to team members.
- Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and company directives.
- Support superior in reporting analysis and operational planning.
- Support superior in both internal and external audits by preparing documentation providing necessary information and ensuring processes are audit-ready.
- Other additional tasks as per superior instructions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or related field
- Minimum 510 years of relevant experience in inbound logistics and customs operations
- Good knowledge of customs regulations compliance requirements and import/export processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP is an added advantage
- Familiarity with FMEA project management quality management and operational strategy is preferred
- Strong communication coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners
- Proactive responsible and result-oriented mindset with strong accountability
- Structured and detail-oriented approach to work with good problem-solving skills
- Awareness of escalation processes and ability to handle issues within defined scope
- Experience in mentoring or guiding junior staff is an advantage
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
