Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Senior Accounts Executive to take ownership of the complete accounting cycle. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy managing month-end closures and maintaining compliance for a high-volume manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced professional environment.
Job Responsibilities
Financial Management: Manage and oversee the complete full set of accounts ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements and detailed management reports for leadership review.
Month-End Closing: Execute all journal entries and month-end closing processes ensuring appropriate and complete supporting documentation is maintained.
Verification & Control: Rigorously verify invoices payment vouchers and claims to maintain strict internal financial controls.
Budgeting Support: Assist in the annual budget preparation process and provide data-driven insights for variance analysis.
Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices strictly adhere to the latest accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS) and local tax regulations.
Audit Coordination: Prepare all necessary schedules and documentation for external audits and serve as the primary liaison for auditors.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA CPA) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience preferably within a large-scale manufacturing or PLC environment.
Language Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. (Mandarin proficiency is essential to effectively communicate and coordinate with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders).
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and experience with ERP or established accounting systems.
Soft Skills: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and the capability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
Logistics: Comfortable working in an onsite office setting.
