Senior Accountant Business Transition Support (12-Month Contract)

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will support accounting operations and finance transition activities associated with a business divestiture and related transition support services. This role will assist with day-to-day accounting operations including accounts receivable accounts payable inventory and cost accounting support billing activities and month-end close processes.

The position is intended to provide operational support during the transition period ensuring continuity of accounting operations and timely execution of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities account reconciliations and financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare billing schedules customer invoices and receivable reconciliations related to transition support activities.
• Support invoice processing vendor payment activities and open purchase order reviews.
• Assist with inventory cost accounting and shipment-related reconciliations and analysis.
• Prepare journal entries balance sheet reconciliations and accounting support.
• Support intercompany reconciliations and transition-related accounting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business transition and operational requirements.

Qualifications :

Required

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
• 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
• Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a multinational company environment.
• Experience supporting business transitions or integration projects.
• Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting processes.
