Principal Tax Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and coordinate tax compliance for selected entities across APAC jurisdiction.
Ensure and review compliance with tax regulatory and filing requirements
Manage tax queries audits and authority engagements
Interpreting local and international tax statutes regulations and legislation
Provide guidance and practical advice on local tax issues
Partner with management in the monitoring and reporting of local tax incentives
Support monthly quarterly and year-end closing related to tax matters.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A Bachelors degree in accounting with an emphasis in tax or other four-year degree with equivalent accounting and tax experience is preferred
CPA or equivalent accounting certification is preferred
The candidate should have 6 years of tax experience including industry or public accounting/Big 4 experience
A high level of computer and system skills and excellent communication skills are essential
High proficiency in spoken and written English
Experience working in a multi-national environment would be a strong advantage
Experience working in a tech environment would be an advantage
Malaysian tax knowledge is required with a strong preference for multi-country/regional tax experience
