Are you passionate about humanitarian causes and skilled in expanding funding opportunities for impactful projects The Norwegian Red Cross is seeking a Partnership and Grant Advisor to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

Purpose:

The role aims to expand Norwegian Red Cross donor base by seeking new donors and positioning the organization to attract funding effectively.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to diversifying and increasing Norwegian Red Cross funding sources.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of grant management processes in the region.
  • Support the thematic positioning of Norwegian Red Cross in collaboration with technical and operational units.

Duties and responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Conduct donor mapping and identify new funding opportunities aligned with NorCross Strategy.
  • Collaborate with Country/Regional Representatives to network with existing and potential donors and consortium members.
  • Facilitate design processes for applications and funding proposals in close cooperation with financial results and programmatic staff.
  • Ensure quality assurance of all funding proposals and reports to donors before submission.
  • Coordinate the quality assurance of all grant agreements before signing.
  • Maintain an overview of grants and their status ensuring compliance with donor conditions and deadlines.
  • Extract insights from different funding streams to enhance organizational readiness in resource diversification.
Qualifications

Competencies:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in humanitarian affairs focusing on project cycle management and budgeting.
  • Experience in humanitarian financing grant management fundraising and donor relations.
  • Ability to design and coordinate successful bids and consortium partnerships.
  • Strong networking external representation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues.
