About the role:
We are hiring for a P2P Manager to join our multi-national Financial Business Services team in Kuala Lumpur. Join BSI and be part of a global leader in standards and business improvement.
In this role youll lead a team supporting the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) function ensuring timely accurate and compliant processing of vendor payments and employee expenses across a designated portfolio. If youre an experienced leader in accounts payable with a strong track record in team management and continuous process improvement wed love to hear from you.
This role is hybrid with a working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities may include:
- Manage and lead a P2P team responsible for processing invoices payments and employee expenses for a designated portfolio.
- Oversee the timely accurate and compliant execution of P2P activities in line with company policies and controls.
- Ensure regular reconciliation of supplier statements resolving discrepancies and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
- Generate and analyse P2P reports to support financial decision-making and audits.
- Collaborate with procurement finance and operational teams to resolve payment issues efficiently.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the P2P process identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency accuracy and controls.
- Manage month-end closing activities related to accounts payable in collaboration with the Financial Accounting team.
- Coach develop and support team members to meet individual and team KPIs.
- Perform other duties as delegated including supporting business improvement projects and ad-hoc initiatives.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay and Travel & Expense processes.
- Relevant accounting experience preferably in an accounts payable or shared services environment.
- Proven experience in managing and developing teams.
- Knowledge of SAP and PO systems will be an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) or be part-qualified.
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
