We are representing an international company (HQ based in Singapore) engaged in mining natural resources investment international trading and overseas project development. As business continues to expand in the South Pacific region we are seeking a driven capable professional to oversee site execution and serve as the managements key representative on-site.

Job Summary

This is a high-visibility operational site role serving as the GM/MDs primary on-site representative. You will be responsible for driving daily project operations managing local contractors and safeguarding project progress.

You will also act as the primary bridge between the China-based executive team local government authorities landowning communities and site contractors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site & Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations logistics and resource allocation to ensure alignment with company targets.
  • Coordinate with site contractors consultants and local workforce to drive project execution and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Implement and enforce company policies safety protocols and operational management decisions on-site.
  • Prepare and submit regular operational updates risk assessments and progress reports to the GM/MD.

2. Stakeholder & Government Relations

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with local government agencies regulatory bodies and community leaders.
  • Handle external communications community engagement and landowner relations to ensure long-term operational continuity.
  • Serve as the immediate on-site problem solver for localized conflicts compliance inquiries or site challenges

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Management Engineering Logistics or a related discipline.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in spoken and written Chinese and English is mandatory (to interface between China/Singapore executive leadership and local English-speaking stakeholders/contractors).
  • Work Experience: Minimum 35 years of project operations site coordination or external relations experience (prior overseas project experience is a strong advantage).
  • Industry Background: Open to candidates from Natural Resources Mining Civil Engineering Infrastructure Construction EPC Energy or Logistics.
  • Adaptability: Strong cross-cultural communication skills and the willingness to be based long-term at a project site in the South Pacific region.
  • Driving License: Valid driving license
