Role Summary
Join our infrastructure team as a Senior MySQL Database Administrator where youll play a key role in managing and optimizing mission-critical database environments on Linux platforms. This is an opportunity to ensure high availability and performance in a dynamic onsite data centre setting.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support MySQL databases on Linux platforms
Perform routine maintenance optimization and troubleshooting of MySQL databases
Execute backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity
Collaborate on database capacity planning and monitoring
Apply Linux system administration skills to support database operations
Must-have Requirements
5 years of experience in MySQL database administration on Linux
Hands-on experience with MySQL database administration on Linux
Strong understanding of optimization tuning and troubleshooting techniques for MySQL databases
Proven hands-on backup and restore capabilities for MySQL databases
Familiarity with basic Linux system administration
Analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt
Nice-to-have Requirements
Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible
Experience designing and refining physical database architecture for reliability
Exposure to fault-tolerant and distributed database mechanisms
