Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
1. Tooling Design & Development
Design and develop injection molds (multi-cavity hot runner 3-plate molds)
Define gating cooling venting and material selection
Review mold flow analysis and improve tooling performance
Ensure tooling meets production capacity and cycle time targets
2. Tooling Validation & Testing
Support mold trials (T0 T1 T2)
Perform FAI PPAP Cp/Cpk and DOE activities
Troubleshoot tooling issues such as flash short shot warpage and sink marks
3. Manufacturing Support
Provide hands-on support to solve production issues
Improve cycle time yield and mold performance
Conduct root cause analysis (8D 5 Why Fishbone)
4. Supplier Management
Work with toolmakers and suppliers to review designs and fabrication
Ensure tooling quality cost and delivery targets are met
5. New Product Introduction (NPI)
Support new tooling development for new products
Ensure smooth production ramp-up and tool transfer
6. Team Support
Guide and mentor junior engineers
Drive continuous improvement and best practices
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Tool & Die or related field
Minimum 3 years in tooling design and manufacturing
Strong experience in injection molding and high-volume production
Knowledge in mold design (hot runner cooling gating etc.)
Familiar with GD&T and tolerance analysis
Experience with Moldflow / Moldex3D
Skilled in CAD software (Creo NX SolidWorks)
Working hours:
Mon to Fri 8am to 5:45pm
