The Metrology Engineer ensures accurate reliable and compliant measurement systems to support FOUP product qualification manufacturing and continuous improvement. This role is critical to sustaining product quality enabling production scale-up and meeting customer and audit requirements across the product lifecycle.What Youll Do:
- Develop validate and sustain measurement systems inspection methods and metrology standards
- Lead Measurement System Analysis (MSA) including GR&R and capability studies
- Support FOUP design qualification engineering changes and production ramp-up activities
- Define and maintain metrology plans specifications and control strategies aligned with customer and regulatory requirements
- Identify investigate and resolve measurement-related issues; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Serve as the metrology subject-matter expert (SME) for internal customer and regulatory audits
- Partner cross-functionally with design manufacturing quality and operations teams to drive continuous improvement
What We Seek:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 35 years of experience in metrology dimensional inspection or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T MSA SPC and statistical capability analysis
- Hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and/or optical measurement systems
- Strong analytical problem-solving documentation and cross-functional communication skills
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and/or FOUP-related products
- Familiarity with ISO standards customer specifications and audit processes
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or high-volume manufacturing operations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently manage priorities and drive improvements under tight timelines
