Merchandiser

The Merchandiser is responsible for selling products and services to meet sales targets across assigned businesses and territories contributing to DKSHs overall business objectives. This role drives commercial outcomes at the point of sale by executing effective sales activities maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring products are well-represented across the market.

• Support management in controlling daily operational expenses in line with the operating budget to ensure responsible and efficient resource usage
• Implement structured sales action plans including regular customer visits and order taking to achieve sales targets for the assigned business and territory
• Track individual and team progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sales plans prioritizing and reviewing daily sales activities to maintain focus and drive results
• Execute sales activities for the assigned territory including product portfolio management marketing plan introductions order taking and preparation of in-store marketing and merchandising displays
• Prepare quotations proposals and contracts to facilitate and close sales agreements
• Record and maintain accurate sales and customer data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and report on competitor activities and products to support strategic decision-making
• Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes sales plans and customer satisfaction while ensuring timely collection of payments from customersInvestigate and resolve customer issues promptly recording outcomes and advising on appropriate follow-up actions
• Respond promptly to customer orders and inquiries keeping customers informed about promotions and new product introductions to generate further sales opportunities
• Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure timely product delivery and contribute to building close positive and lasting business relationships
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

• Minimum Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or an equivalent qualification
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar sales or merchandising role with a good understanding of the industry market competitors and customers
• Good working knowledge of assigned territories products and services with strong practical sales skills
• Skilled in communication and negotiation with the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders
• Basic research and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel Word and PowerPoint
• Fluency in both Malay and English spoken and written
