Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically driven Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Medical Affairs team. The MSL is a field-based scientific expert who serves as the key link between our Life Sciences company and the external medical community. This role focuses on peer-to-peer scientific exchange dissemination of scientific evidence and building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). The ideal candidate is passionate about science comfortable engaging clinicians and able to translate complex clinical evidence into practical and meaningful medical communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scientific Engagement & Medical Strategy Execution
Execute medical affairs initiatives aligned with brand strategy and patient needs
Translate complex clinical evidence into clear relevant scientific communication
Deliver non-promotional evidence-based scientific discussions with healthcare professionals
Maintain deep expertise in assigned therapeutic areas and evolving clinical landscape
Disseminate clinical papers scientific publications and evidence updates to healthcare professionals
Support development of scientific content including: CME slides Scientific presentations Educational materials Clinical discussion materials
2. KOL & Healthcare Professional Engagement
Identify map and develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and HCPs
Build peer-to-peer scientific partnerships based on credibility and trust Conduct regular field visits and scientific engagements with clinicians and healthcare institutions
Lead and support scientific exchange activities including: Advisory boards Expert meetings Medical education events Café talks and clinical sharing sessions
Expand engagement beyond traditional KOLs to broader clinical stakeholders
Travel extensively for field-based medical engagement activities (up to 80%)
Provide scientific support to commercial teams during appropriate engagements while maintaining non-promotional standards
3. Medical Communication & Education
Provide accurate balanced and up-to-date scientific information in response to medical inquiries
Deliver scientific presentations on: Clinical data Disease education Product science Therapeutic updates
Support internal training of cross-functional teams on therapeutic areas and clinical evidence
Participate actively in internal FAQ discussions and scientific alignment sessions
Support organization and execution of CME and medical education activities
4. Insight Generation & Strategic Input
Gather insights on: Clinical practice patterns Unmet medical needs Treatment landscape Competitor activity
Translate field insights into actionable recommendations for Medical and Commercial teams
Contribute to refinement of medical strategy and evidence generation plans
Act as the medical voice of the field internally
5. Evidence Generation & Research Support
Support investigator-initiated studies (IIS) real-world evidence (RWE) and publication activities
Identify and engage potential investigators and research collaborators
Support scientific congress participation and knowledge dissemination
Assist in scientific writing including: Manuscripts Abstracts Medical publications Scientific summaries
Critically review interpret and communicate scientific papers and clinical literature
6. Safety & Scientific Responsibility
Capture and appropriately communicate safety information from the field
Ensure all scientific exchange is accurate ethical compliant and patient-focused
Maintain high standards of scientific integrity and professionalism
. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Commercial Medical and other internal teams
Provide scientific input to: Product strategy Educational initiatives Lifecycle planning Scientific communication activities
Collaborate effectively across departments to support business and medical objectives

Strong scientific acumen and ability to interpret clinical data
Ability to critically evaluate and discuss scientific publications
Ability to write scientific manuscripts and medical content is an advantage
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to build long-term KOL relationships

Comfortable with extensive fieldwork and travel
Strong organizational and project coordination abilities
Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage

Qualifications & Experience Education
Degree in Life Sciences Pharmacy Medicine or related field
Preferably a minimum 2 years of relevant experience in: Medical Affairs MSL Clinical or scientific roles
Experience engaging healthcare professionals is highly preferred
Experience in scientific presentations medical education or publication support is advantageous
