Material Control Specialist

Job Descriptions

• Develop medium- and long-term Material Requirements Planning (MRP) based on sales forecasts production schedules and historical demand data.
  
• Plan and maintain optimal inventory levels by implementing effective inventory control strategies managing slow-moving and obsolete materials improving inventory turnover and minimizing inventory holding costs.
  
• Generate Purchase Requisitions (PR) or Purchase Orders (PO) through the ERP system and closely monitor material delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals.
  
• Monitor material availability and production line readiness to ensure complete material kitting and prevent production interruptions due to material shortages.
  
• Coordinate closely with Procurement Production Warehouse and Quality teams to ensure smooth material flow and resolve supply-related issues.
  
• Analyze material planning data and recommend improvements to enhance planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material planning and inventory management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management Logistics Industrial Engineering Business Administration Manufacturing or a related field.
  
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with relevant experience in material planning production planning or supply chain will have an added advantage.
  
• Familiarity with ERP systems and an understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts. Experience with ERP material and production modules is an advantage.
  
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes Bill of Materials (BOM) work order management and supply chain operations.
  
• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across Procurement Production Warehouse and Quality departments.
  
• Able to work under pressure prioritize tasks effectively and respond promptly to urgent material issues.
  
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  
• Basic Mandarin/Chinese communication skills will be an added advantage.

Location: Tampoi Johor Bahru

Working Hours: Mon - Fri (8:00AM - 5:30PM)

Salary Range: Up to RM5000
